Nursing Study Abroad Program

Participants of the nursing study abroad program spend two weeks in Prague, Czech Republic. Students enroll in pre- and post-trip versions of NSG 445, Professionalism, Advocacy, and Leadership, and NSG 540, Culture, Ethics, and Policy Analysis, that integrate academic learning with hands-on travel experience. While traveling, students have the opportunity to visit and talk with English-speaking nurses, doctors, and administrators who train and administer care within a nationalized health care system.

Participants visit a variety health care facilities and cultural landmarks in Prague, Strakonice, Ceske Kumlov, and Ceske Budejovice in the Czech Republic. A two day excursion to Vienna, Austria is also included. Accommodations are made in comfortable hotels in Prague, Strakonice, and Ceske Budejovice.
