The Pathways Honors Program gives students extra benefits to help them prepare for their future health-related careers. Most are related to our alliance with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Read below for a sample of what Pathways Honors students can take advantage of.
Access to Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science
Pathways Honors students can receive pre-professional advising from Rosalind Franklin faculty mentors, engage in summer research opportunities on the Rosalind Franklin campus in North Chicago, and network with students in Rosalind Franklin professional programs.

As a Pathways Honors student you are eligible for the following:
- Automatically registered for the
Pre-Health Program
- Exclusive pre-professional workshops
- Access to small learning/living communities on campus
- Opportunities to pursue the
Early Opportunity Program and
Accelerated 3+ options
- Special transcript notation denoting participation in the Pathways Honors Program
- Priority course registration
Advising and Preparation
As a Pathways Honors Program student you will have direct access to pre-health advising in the form of a team of staff and faculty advisors - a pre-health advisor, a research advisor and faculty mentors who will help you build your application credentials, define your course schedules, explore exciting career options, and prepare for entrance examinations and interviews. You can also meet with faculty and staff at Rosalind Franklin, a rare benefit for undergraduates in pre-professional programs.
Living/Learning Communities
Incoming Pathways Honors students have an opportunity to join special living/learning communities. By participating in the Pathways Honors Living/Learning Community, you will be enrolled in special sections of Explore Chicago and General Biology.
