Remember pre-health is not a major. It is a program designed to help you explore your interests, identify attractive
health careers and prepare you to become a competitive applicant to professional school. Students typically spend four years completing their undergraduate degree prior to entering a graduate health professions program. That is why we call this traditional option or “4+.” No matter what your major is we will spend those four years helping you prepare for the next step in a range of health careers, including:
- Chiropractic
- Clinical and Community Psychology
- Dentistry
- Medicine (MD or DO)
- Nursing
- Occupational Therapy
- Optometry
- Pathologists’ Assistant
- Pharmacy
- Physical Therapy
- Physician Assistant
- Podiatry
- Public Health
- Veterinary Medicine
Several of the programs mentioned above can be done in conjunction with our alliance partner,
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, as well as some of DePaul's own graduate programs in
Nursing and
Occupational Therapy. Learn more about the full range of
health careers for which DePaul can prepare you.

"DePaul really focuses on the students, and that makes all the difference. I could have gone to college anywhere, but I picked DePaul because I thought the professors would motivate me and still have my back. And I was right."
