DePaul's Health Sciences program offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Sciences degree and a minor in Public Health Studies. For the BS, students select one of two concentrations. The Bioscience Concentration focuses on natural sciences and individual human health, whereas the Public Health Sciences Concentration focuses on social sciences and the health of communities.
The department offers multiple opportunities for combined bachelor + master degree programs at DePaul, including combined degrees with the Master of Public Health program, the Occupational Therapy program, and the Master's Entry to Nursing Practice for Pathways Honors Program students, in addition to six accelerated (3+) professional degree programs (medicine, physician assistant, physical therapy, pharmacy, pathologists' assistant, and podiatry) in collaboration with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
The BS in Health Sciences is designed with flexibility to allow you to explore your interests and satisfy prerequisites for graduate/professional programs. The curriculum is built on a principle that health sciences professionals should understand the factors that impact the health of both individuals and populations.
