The Office of Advising and Student Services assists graduate students throughout their academic study in the College of Science and Health. From new student orientation through graduation the office is dedicated to helping students meet their academic, extracurricular, and career goals. Advising and student services include, but are not limited to, academic policy interpretation, assistance with advising and course registration technology, identification of academic support resources, fielding tuition waiver inquiries and potential graduate assistantship stipend questions, and monitoring degree requirements.
Due to graduate study taking place within a particular discipline or subject area, primary academic advising is provided by faculty in a student's department or program. Faculty program directors and faculty advisors closely work with graduate students to assist with course selection, the review of degree progress, and mentorship.
