The Department of Mathematical Sciences provides exceptional learning opportunities for our students. Starting Autumn 2021, graduate students will have flexibility to complete the degree by taking online-only classes, on-campus classes, or a combination of both. The requirements and expectations for both the online and in-person classes will be kept as similar as possible. The online option is ideal for working professionals who want to obtain an advanced degree and enhance their professional skills.
Current DePaul undergraduates can apply to enter the

Applied Mathematics (MS) and Applied Statistics (MS)
The
Applied Mathematics (MS) and
Applied Statistics (MS) graduate programs are designed to provide students with a strong quantitative background for employment in business, industry, or government. The programs also provide a solid foundation for students interested in pursuing PhD-level graduate work in Applied Mathematics or Applied Statistics. On-campus classes for these programs are offered on weekday evenings at DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.
Mathematics Education (MA) and Mathematics for Teaching (MS)
The
Mathematics Education (MA) and
Mathematics for Teaching (MS) graduate programs are designed for current and prospective teachers of Mathematics at the secondary and community college levels, including career-changers who have not previously completed a degree in Mathematics. On-campus classes for these programs are offered on weekends at DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.
Pure Mathematics (MS)
The graduate program in
Pure Mathematics (MS) is designed for students whose career goals will be furthered by graduate-level training in mathematics, including students who plan to pursue a PhD in Mathematics or a closely-related field. On-campus classes for this program are offered on weekday evenings at DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.
Graduate Assistantships
