The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) at DePaul University provides advice and guidance in the following areas:
- Designing experiments or surveys and sampling design
- Programming and using appropriate software for data analysis
- Assisting with analysis of data and interpretation of analysis
- Writing up statistics sections of grant proposals
- Referring to statistical specialists when required
The SCC does not assist with class projects or homework. All initial consulting sessions will be held with the center's director and the center's graduate assistants. This session may be purely descriptive with the researcher explaining the problem being addressed. After this initial session, the director will route the project to:
- The center's graduate students
- The director
- The center's faculty members
