COVID-19 Protocols

Because we remain in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, patients both current and new are welcome to review the health​ a​n​d safety protocols that are in place for the DePaul Speech and Language Clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

We do not accept any insurance and our services are free! Our clinic operates on a donation-based model. Our mission is to provide speech therapy services free of charge for individuals with communication disorders. Our clients are more than welcome to donate at a level they think is appropriate to support us with our mission.

Yes, our clinic is part of DePaul University, a large private, 501©3 non-profit university. All donations are tax deductible!

Consistent and timely attendance is essential to receive excellent care and services at no additional cost. Any missed sessions and late attendance also significantly impact our graduate student clinicians. Our graduate student clinicians must complete a regulated number of hours of therapy services to stay in good standing required for graduation and certification.

We are located at 2400 N. Sheffield Ave. Chicago, IL 60614 on DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus. 

We depend on donations to help us to continue to provide these services and reduce the service delivery disparity for underserved populations. A donation of any amount helps, and all donations are tax deductible.

As of right now, we are developing groups that fit well with the needs of our clients.

We welcome and serve all ages from pediatric to geriatric. 

No, you do not need a diagnosis before coming to our clinic. We offer free screenings and evaluations. 

The frequency of sessions is decided on a case-by-case basis
