Outside of the lab, undergraduate students must be able to
communicate their findings with the scientific community through conference presentations
and professional publications. The College of Science and Health offers its undergraduate
students several opportunities to gain this invaluable experience, including presenting
at the annual Undergraduate
Research Showcase and the Chicago Area Undergraduate
Research Symposium (CAURS). Undergraduates in the College of Science and
Health may also submit their research to DePaul’s undergraduate research journal,
DePaul Discoveries,
which serves as a vehicle for undergraduate students to share their work with
the world and learn about the review and publication process so essential to
their professional disciplines.
