Degree Requirements

Course Requirements

​MA/MEd students are required to take twelve of the seventeen courses listed below. 

Typically, MA/MEd students will take MAT 610, 611, 612, 618, 620, 631, 640, 642, 660, 670, 680 and either 671 or 672.

Undergraduate Courses

No undergraduate courses shall count towards the MA/MEd degree.

Graduation Requirements

Requirements include, but are not limited to, twelve graduate courses (48 credit hours) with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50.

Alternate Course Sequencing​

Students who possess a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics may, in consultation with the graduate program director, fulfill the course requirements for the Mathematics Education degree via an alternate sequence of courses​.​
