The STEM Research Showcase is an opportunity for undergraduate students to present their research to not only DePaul students and faculty, but also family members, employers, internship recruiters, prospective students and young scientists. Research is shared by students through posters and oral presentations, which are reviewed by faculty. Other elements of the Showcase have included guest lecturers, an Alumni Panel, special address from member of DePaul leadership, interactive exhibits, VIP Hour, and catered reception.
The William J. Degutis Women in Science and Health Lecture Series is an annual event sponsored by the College of Science and Health that honors the contributions of women to the natural and health sciences and to closely related fields. The purpose of the lecture series to honor women's contributions and to foster community and scholarship in the DePaul community. Each lecture is presented by a prominent scientist at the forefront of her field, and the speaker usually participates in additional programming with DePaul students and faculty.
Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Symposium and Research Conference
The Illinois Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is a consortium of more than 15 Illinois community colleges, universities, and research institutions collaborating to provide programs to improve the quality of STEM education for underrepresented minority students.
