I am a social and cross-cultural psychologist investigating the self, our cultural contexts, and how these connect to wellbeing outcomes. I primarily teach undergraduate and graduate courses under two major themes. The first theme consists of research design methodologies. The second concerns the social and systemic underpinnings of individual and collective trauma processes and experiences, community strengths and post-traumatic growth, and trauma’s relationship to existential meaning systems. I additionally teach introductory and cultural issues psychology courses. I support Psychology MS Research Psychology students and their research in my Program Director role. I additionally represent the College of Science and Health as an alternate on Faculty Council and represent the Behavioral and Social Sciences disciplinary area on the Faculty Council Committee on Term Faculty.
