Dr. Napier joined DePaul University in the Summer of 2020 as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Professor of the Masters of Occupational Therapy. Prior to joining DePaul, Dr. Napier was a faculty member and Academic Fieldwork Assistant of the entry level OTD program at Rush University for seven years while practicing as a clinician at the Illinois Eye Institute. Prior to her academic roles, she was the Associate Director of Occupational Therapy at The Chicago Lighthouse.
Her clinical work has spanned from in-patient stroke, brain injury and spinal cord injury populations at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan Ability Lab) and, most recently with the visually impaired and blind community. Her primary interests include fieldwork, visual impairments and arts-based training programs.
Some of her favorite occupations include spending time with her family (including two four-legged members) and friends, being around mountains, water & beaches, boating, skiing, traveling and exploring new places.
