The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry maintains an HP DesignJet T1300 large format printer that can be used to print posters. This printer is located in McGowan-South 303A and is available for use by all full-time faculty and staff in the College of Science and Health. To access the printer, enter through the door to McGowan-South 303. This door is unlocked during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Access to the printer room itself (McGowan-South 303A) is by card swipe. All full-time faculty and full-time staff in the CSH should already have swipe permission. Students wishing to use the printer must be accompanied by an authorized faculty or staff member, ideally their research mentor. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is not staffed to escort students to the printer room to use those services.
There is a Windows 10 workstation located in the print room. This workstation may be used to submit print jobs to the printer. A set of instructions is available online and another is located on or near the workstation desk for reference. Your Campus Connection credentials should be used when logging on to this workstation.
Alternative printing services: Should the printer in McGowan-South 303A be down for any reason, consider using printer services offered by the Richardson Library.
If you have any questions about the printer or run into any technical problems in using the device, please send an e-mail message to CHESupport@depaul.edu. Staff members in the main office of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry are not required to provide any assistance with regard to printer access or hardware support.
The swipe access list is refreshed at the start of every autumn quarter. If you are a full-time faculty or staff member and you missed the access list refresh, please send a request for access to CHESupport@depaul.edu. Most requests are handled within 48 hours of receipt.
