Office of Advising and Student Services

​ The Office of Advising and Student Services (OASS) team partners with faculty and staff in the College of Science and Health (CSH) to provide academic advising and student services to undergraduate and graduate CSH students. The office offers specialized advising to all DePaul University pre-health students, who are interested graduate health professions programs. Additionally, the office provides advising to undergraduate students seeking assistance with identifying and applying for internal and external research opportunities.

Advising and student services include, but are not limited to, pre-health advising, advising on research and internship opportunities, guiding new and continuing students on course selection and registration, providing consultation on academic policy interpretation, coordinating graduation, and identifying study abroad opportunities.

Further, the OASS collaborates with our campus partners to foster and support Student Success

Mission Statement

The Office of Advising and Student Services (OASS) advises undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Science and Health and pre-health students at DePaul with a focus on academic planning from orientation to graduation.  The advising team counsels students on resources available to support their academic success and consults them on academic policy interpretation.  The team serves as advocates, who welcome all students and empower them to explore their academic and career curiosity. 

Vision Statement

The OASS aspires to advise undergraduate, graduate, and pre-health students on academic matters to guide them toward academic success and graduation.  The OASS endeavors to be strong student allies who coach students on how to prepare successfully for industry positions, graduate school, and graduate health professions programs.
