Susan Cahill

​Dr. Cahill joined DePaul University in Fall 2023 as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program. Dr. Cahill is currently working as the Director of Evidence-based Practice and the staff liaison to the Commission on Practice at the American Occupational Therapy Association. She has been an occupational therapist for over 25 years and holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration and a PhD in Education.

Dr. Cahill was the founding program director for the MSOT program at Lewis University and has held faculty positions at Midwestern University and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to working in higher education, she was a special education administrator and a school-based OT. She also has experience in early intervention and private practice.

Some of her favorite occupations include going on adventures with her two teenage children and her husband, listening to audio books, and gardening. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs.
