Professor Lum joined DePaul University in Fall 2022 as an Adjunct Faculty member within the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program. Professor Lum is currently working as an inpatient rehabilitation OT at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, primarily with the traumatic brain injury population. Her clinical specialty is inpatient rehabilitation and neuro conditions. She is currently enrolled in a post-professional occupational therapy doctorate program through the Medical University of South Carolina, where she is a MSOT alum.
Professor Lum has guest lectured at multiple MSOT and entry-level OTD programs regarding traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions, posture and balance, etc. In Spring 2021, she was an adjunct faculty member at Winston Salem State University MSOT program. Her course instruction was for Neurological Basis of Occupation Lab.
Some of her favorite occupations include walking her dog with her husband, eating at new restaurants, being a tourist in her new home of Chicago, baking, singing and playing music. She has considered moving to Chicago multiple times over the past 10 years, and finally landed in the windy city in 2021.
