Professor Cuba joined DePaul University in Spring 2023 as an Adjunct Faculty member within the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program. Professor Cuba is currently working as an occupational therapist at Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. Professor Cuba helps adults with serious mental illness move from nursing homes to the community and maintain independent living skills in their own apartments.
Professor Cuba guest lectured at multiple MSOT and OTD programs in the Midwest to educate students on mental health and OT, community mental health and about the Colbert and Williams Decrees in the state of Illinois.
Some of Professor Cuba's favorite occupations are baking, walking along the lake or Chicago River, socializing with friends and reading. Recently, she is learning how to knit and crochet to learn a new leisure activity and to help facilitate a mental health group at Trilogy. Professor Cuba grew up in the south suburbs and has lived in the Chicago area all of her life.
