The Psychology + Economics (PSY+ECO) Bachelor of Arts is a multidisciplinary degree
program jointly offered by the Psychology and Economics Departments within the
College of Science and Health (Psychology) and the college of
Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (Economics). This program
offers students a comprehensive and integrated education in both disciplines, providing
the theoretical and methodological tools necessary to analyze human behavior and
economic systems from multiple perspectives.
The PSY+ECO program merges psychology's insights on human behavior with
economic analysis, providing graduates with an understanding of not just “what” but
“why” people make economic choices. This unique combination of disciplines provides
students with a robust framework for analyzing how psychological principles influence
economic decisions, as well as how economic systems and policies affect psychological
well-being.
