The Catalyst is the official blog of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The goal of The Catalyst is to foster a sense of community in the department, promote special events, and communicate noteworthy developments with alumni, faculty, staff, and students, both current and potential.
The Catalyst started as a newsletter prepared by the Chemistry Club up until 2005. From then to 2013, it was occasionally published by the department's Development Committee. After 2013 it moved to its permanent online site.
