The Illinois Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation
(LS-AMP) is a consortium of more than 15 Illinois community colleges,
universities, and research institutions collaborating to provide
programs to improve the quality of science, mathematics, engineering and
technology education (STEM) for underrepresented minority students.
Illinois LS-AMP provides activities that are comprehensive,
multidisciplinary and focused on enhancing minority student scholarship.
Consortium-wide activities include an annual student research
conference, research opportunities, study groups, peer mentoring and
professional development activities. This program is sponsored by the
National Science Foundation and is one of many LS-AMP programs
At DePaul, we offer an LS-AMP Research Scholars program, to fund undergraduate work in faculty research labs.
