For currently enrolled DePaul students, the Science and Math Learning Center (SMLC) partners with the Learning Commons in the Richardson Library and the Center for Writing-based Learning to provide free tutoring and academic support in the following areas: chemistry, mathematical sciences, nursing, physics, and psychology.
In most circumstances the services are administered by graduate students and undergraduate students in their senior year, most of whom are earning a degree with a focus in one of the disciplines listed above.
The SMLC is located in O'Connell Hall 300 on the Lincoln Park campus. Contact information, hours of operation, and an up-to-date schedule of tutors are found below. The SMLC operates without scheduling appointments and only on a walk-in basis, per the schedule below. Important: Please bring your valid student ID with you in order to be able to use the services.
