Assistant or Associate Professor of Statistics
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at DePaul University invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning September 2012. In addition to offering a broad array of mathematics and statistics courses at the undergraduate level, the department offers graduate programs leading to Masters Degrees in Applied Statistics and Applied Mathematics with concentration in Actuarial Science.
The department seeks candidates actively engaged in research and strongly committed to teaching. The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. degree in statistics and candidates with background and interest in actuarial sciences or biostatistics are especially encouraged to apply.

The department also offers masters degrees in applied mathematics, applied statistics, and . pure mathematics. It has research groups in algebra, analysis, combinatorics, probability, and statistics, but strong candidates in all research areas are encouraged to apply.
