You are encouraged to apply online. In addition to the on-line application (with fee) the following are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Calculus: One year
  • Physics, with laboratory: One year
  • GRE scores for both General and Subject (Chemistry) tests (these are waived for DePaul undergraduates with GPA of 2.75 or higher); Institution Code: 1165
For International Students: TOEFL score of at least 590 (paper) or 96 (on-line). (International students with slightly lower TOEFL scores who otherwise meet entrance requirements may be admitted conditionally into a joint program with DePaul's English Language Academy (ELA). Students have up to three quarters (one year) to study English intensely and raise their TOEFL score to 590 or 96, at which time they may begin the Chemistry M.S. program. Students who obtained their undergraduate degree in the U.S.: The completed application must be received 45 days (six weeks) before the start of the quarter in which the student wishes to begin study.

For international students: The completed application must be received according to the following deadlines:

  • May 1 to begin study in autumn quarter
  • September 1 to begin study in winter quarter
  • December 1 to begin study in spring quarter
